This delightful Easter gift from Jackson & Perkins is called the Blooming Sunshine Trio, and it contains the best of spring-blooming bulbs in sunny colors for your home or office. It was so incredibly popular that it sold out and is no longer available.
But it is still a great Easter gift idea to create your own coffee klatsch. It wouldn’t be too difficult to find three cheery yellow-and-white mugs (or whatever Spring color combination you want) to make a gift along this same theme. Just get three coordinating mugs and plant each with a cluster of spring-blooming bulbs. The set from Jackson & Perkins contained crocus, yellow daffodil, and snowy-white hyacinth, but you can choose whatever combination you think would look attractive in the mug grouping you choose. Bulbs will bloom in succession over 3 to 4 weeks, but simple little green plants would also be attractive and stay nice through the entire summer and fall. If you select long-lived outdoor plants, they can be repotted outside and the mugs can be used for coffee, tea, soup or even hot chocolate!
