H & R Block to File Your Taxes
Well, I’m happy to say that Dear Hubby and I have gotten our taxes filed and in the mail. Yes, I know we are old-fashioned! But we’ve already gotten to the “kiss and make-up” part of tax time, so I’m happy.
If you haven’t gotten your taxes done yet, you are probably feeling the stress. So I have a suggestion from my friend Garry Conn.
“Well, we did it. We finally filed our taxes. Actually, H&R Block filed our taxes. We’ve been doing our taxes online for about 5 years now, and have always been happy with the results. It’s so much easier to just put your information in the forms and hit the send button. Then, within just a couple of weeks, we’ve got our refunds and we’re sitting pretty.
With H&R Block, there’s no guess work. They do all the figuring for you so all you need to do is sit back and wait. They find little things that most people miss when figuring their taxes, giving you a better refund than previously thought.
Filing your taxes can have you totally insane by the time you’re done. But, with H&R Block, it’s as easy as typing your name. ”

Are you pulling your hair out yet trying to get your taxes done in time? Have you already finished and filed, or are you waiting until the evening of April 15th to get started?
Well, just in case you didn’t know it, you can get all the forms you need directly from the IRS, right on your computer. In fact, you can fill the forms out on your computer and send them right in without having to do anything but type in what you need.
If you’re like my husband and myself, we can’t ever do anything simple, so I print out the forms in triplicate, then we use a pencil and scribble all over those pieces of paper for a couple of days. After we’ve stopped digging through every box of papers and files to find that ‘one last receipt’, we kiss and make-up, sign the forms and mail them in.

Turbo Tax
Just in case you haven’t finished filing your 2007 tax returns yet, here’s a reminder. April 15th is once again the deadline for filing your Income Tax return. The I.R.S. needs you! And you want to be certain and file in a timely manner if you want to participate in the Federal Tax Rebate program.
Fortunately, whether you file a simple return or have complex deductions, there are software programs online to help you do it on your own. If you already have your own tax attorney and accountant, I’d recommend going with them, but otherwise, why not give it a try, huh? What’s the worst they can do to you if it’s wrong? Hmmmm!
Anyway, you’ve probably seen TurboTax at almost every store. There are versions from simple to complicated, but there is also a FREE version online. In fact, you can order ANY of the styles online as well.
If you don’t need much tax guidance, choose TurboTax Federal Free Edition. And you can file an E-Return with the FREE program.
TurboTax Deluxe maximizes deductions for mortgage interest, donations, education, and more. You can quickly search for more than 350 tax deductions and it gives you accurate values for your charitable donations.
To make the most of your investments, TurboTax Premier provides guidance for stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and rental property. It finds your accurate purchase price for stock sales—in three easy steps; imports investment information directly from your financial institution; and uncovers deductions for rental properties, including travel and advertising. TurboTax Premier includes Audit Support Center and lets you maximize personal and business deductions.
There’s even a special program for small and home-based businesses, but no matter what you need, TurboTax helps you get started and get done in time.
FREE Online Tax Software
Yesterday I told about TurboTax and the different software programs available to file your taxes online with a free program or to purchase for more complex Tax Return needs. TurboTax FREE, Deluxe and Premier are all ready for you to use.
There is another program, TaxAct.com, that also offers FREE tax return software AND if you need more detailed returns they also offer upgraded software at greatly reduced rates.
You can start your 2007 tax return with FREE IRS e-file. IRS typically estimates 8-15 days for e-file with direct deposit. This FREE Federal return allows you to prepare, print, e-file FREE. It handles 1040, 1040A, & 1040EZ. (State return is additional.)
Deluxe Online is only $9.95 for Federal, and includes additional tax help, handy imports, FAFSA & more. (State is additional.)
Ultimate Online is only $16.95 for Federal and State returns. TaxAct says this is their best value.
