Modern Spring Cleaning

Model in drss & High Heels for Spring CleaningThe days are long gone when women put an apron on to protect their dresses while they did spring cleaning. Yes, women really did wear high heels around the house if they wanted to be the perfect housewife. I’m old enough to remember those days. (Actually, women wore high heels daily, because if they ever put on a pair of flat-heeled shoes, the muscles in their legs would be screaming in pain the next day. But I digress. . .)

It’s spring cleaning time again, but now we do it the modern way. Now we have a host of modern supplies to help us whip right through all those necessary chores. Here are three of my favorites, and they’re available at all your local stores:

  • Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, $3 for a canister of 35 wipes, available at grocery stores. Use on hard, nonwood surfaces — your sink, counters, refrigerator door, stove tops, tubs, and toilet exterior.
  • Windex Outdoor, $12 for 32 ounces, available at grocery and hardware stores. It attaches to your hose to clean windows; works even through screens and dries without streaking.
  • Windex Glass and Surface Wipes, $3.30 for 25 wipes, www.drugstore.com. Use on windows and chrome for quick clean-ups.
  • Now there’s no more excuse to delay!
